Project Overview
For this project, I me and 3 other people in my group had to collect data on our gaits. We tried to figure out if we could make a predictive model about a person using only someone's gait. What we wanted to know is if we could predict a physical trait of a person using their gait.
What our group came up with was that we could predict someone's height by seeing the length of their stride and the time they took to walk. The longer the stride and the less time they took to walk the distance, the taller they most likely are.
Here is the document where we explain all of it: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1LaAMwrMYwALk1OV_YEBpwokv9EEsWRX4kTWoYGnci5Y/edit?usp=sharing

Content
There were a few concepts we had to know before actually starting the project.
Gait: How someone walks. Everyone is different so that means everyone has a different manner of walking. This includes length of strides, how the foot contacts the ground, how long the leg takes to lift itself, ect.
Spreadsheets: In order to organize the data we collected, we needed to know how spreadsheets worked and how to use them to our advantage. Learned what spreadsheets are, how to use them, and how to make data analyzing easier using them.
Data Collection: To collect data for this project, we used the accelerators on our phones to create graphs showing the gforce on the center of mass of each person while they walked. Using this graph , we concluded a way to predict someone's height using it.

Reflection
There was a lot that we could have done better in this project. One of them would definitely have to be the fact that we did not communicate as often as needed in order to make the project as best as it could be. Another thing that could have done was collect data of everyone's gait, not just two people. If we'd have done that, we could have made a much better predictive model. For the things that we did well, one thing would be the fact that we were able to get something done given the circumstances. Another thing that we did well in this project is how well we did work together when we actually worked on the project. There were some times where only one person was doing work but I think everyone pulled their weight somewhat when working on this project.
